A great collection of yarn, at a great price, for two great causes!
These skeins are available for a limited time only - I've dyed up an initial 20 skeins in each color, and added 10 more on the most popular colors. All skeins have now been listed. Once they're gone, these colors will never be dyed again. The whole collection plays nicely together - these would be fantastic for a 3, 4, or 5 color fade; or grab 2 with plenty of contrast for a stranded or mosaic project!
100% of profits from every skein sold ($12) will be donated to Feeding America and CERF+ (with $6/skein going to each organization). Feeding America does exactly what their name implies, and now more than ever before they desperately need help keeping their food pantries stocked to assist with the overwhelming need. CERF+ provides emergency assistance to craft artists (including dyers, potters, jewelry/shawl pin makers, etc), and they are an invaluable resource right now for artists who get sick during this pandemic.
But as awesome as it is to raise money for these vital organizations...you still want to LOVE the yarn, right? Well, Glisten Fingering is one of the most popular bases I've ever carried, and for good reason - it's a tremendously soft, silky yarn with a phenomenal combination of drape (from the rayon) and bounce (from the merino wool). It has just a hint of inner glow - it doesn't so much shine as it glistens. It is perfectly suited to sweaters, scarves, shawls, and kid's items (did I mention it's SOFT?); it's great for color work of all sorts, and just about any stitch pattern; and is equally happy to be knit or crocheted (I think it would be lovely as weft too, but haven't tried it!).
Grab a skein for a one-skein scarf, or snag a whole sweater quantity for an incredible price - just get them before they're gone!
is available, but NOT in stock.
We will dye it and ship it in 1 to 4 weeks. To reduce the load on the postal service, any in-stock yarn in your order will be held and shipped once your order is complete unless otherwise requested. These orders receive priority in the dyeing queue and will usually ship faster.
